St Frideswide

This morning several of us met with Fr Ian for a mini-pilgrimage to St Margaret’s church and well at Binsey, last refuge of St Frideswide of Oxford. We walked from Canterbury Road across Port Meadow. Unfortunately I managed to leave my camera at home :(. The rain held off and we had a lovely walk over common pastureland, across the Isis and along country lanes edged by hedges full of hips and haws, to the little village of Binsey, which is full of thatched cottages.
