St Feredarius

Today (18 May) in the calendar of early British saints we commemorate St. Feredarius, abbot of Iona (ca. 863). During his abbacy the relics of St Columba were moved to Ireland for fear of Danish raids. And that is all. I suspect he is perhaps only mentioned as incidental to the Life of Columba.

Holy Father Feredarius, pray to God for us.
